Language Access Network Signs Video Interpretation Agreement with Naples Community Hospital: Financial News

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Language Access Network, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: LANW – News) the leader in video interpretation services, announced today it has signed a new service agreement with Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida; a 527 bed facility which is part of the NCH Healthcare System. Under the agreement, Language Access Network will provide video/audio interpretation services in 150 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL). The service, known as Martti(TM) (My Accessible Real-Time Trusted Interpreter), will be available to patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Offering the video/audio interpretation service to its patients for free, Naples Community Hospital will be charged a per-minute fee based upon the interpretation time used.

Naples Community Hospital has more than 500 physicians, 4,000 highly trained employees, and 1,900 volunteers who comprise the outstanding medical team at this 527 bed hospital. Specialties include cardiology, oncology; inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation; psychiatry, pediatric emergency medicine; surgery, diagnostics, and more.

NCH’s outstanding reputation was confirmed by the most recent report from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

All institutions receiving federal money are required through the American Disabilities Act and Civil Rights Act to provide interpretation services free of charge to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and limited English proficient patients. Martti(TM) will help Naples Community Hospital comply with ADA, JCAHO, and HIPAA regulations.
