Andover High’s cabaret was entertaining in any language

ANDOVER | It was a cabaret | high school style.

One of the performers danced an Argentinian tango. Others performed music or raised their voices in song.

Others brought a bit of comic relief, performing skits about foreign holidays and TV shows.

Those were among the acts presented by students during the Foreign Language Cabaret Show at the Collins Center at Andover High School last Friday.

The cabaret concluded Foreign Language Week at the school. Andover High offers courses in French, Spanish, German, Latin and American Sign Language.

“Perhaps we cannot always understand people who speak other languages, but music is something we can all understand,” said Peter Hall, head of the school’s world language department. Hall hosted Friday’s event. Continue
